A complete refresh and rebuild of an existing e-commerce website, creating a more intuitive shopping experience with improved functionality, structure and flexibility. The project involved refreshing the Shopify e-commerce site, restructuring product setups, and building out metafields and metaobjects to create a more flexible and manageable content system. I also developed more specific product collections and deeper categorisation, allowing customers to browse and shop by more relevant attributes and use cases. Custom code was implemented to extend the site beyond Shopify’s standard functionality, with AI used as a development aid to troubleshoot, refine and build tailored solutions. The result was a more cohesive, organised and scalable e-commerce experience.
